screaming jack

jack can be a screamer. he screams when he's mad. he screams when he's happy. he screeeaaammmssss when he sees the cats.

so how better to celebrate this aspect of our son's personality than with wine. bottles and bottles of wine.

friends diddykins, sneetch and jellybean brought over a vintner particularly suited to this situation. yes ... screaming jack wines.

hmm ... wonder if they make minis that we can hand out to fellow passengers on the plane to atlanta!

the neighbors across the way are taking down their big tree in the front yard. today the tree guys were out early and jack was *thrilled* with their mulcher, grinder and crane!

there has been some drama here on wisteria lane ... er -- the street we live on ... with our next door neighbors opposed to the tree coming down and looking to the covenants to block it.

but, the tree owners prevailed and the grand old tulip poplar is comin' down!

weekend update

less busy than last weekend, so you'll excuse the blog for not having multiple slide shows. but a full, fun couple of days nonetheless.

after a morning trip to ikea, jack's nana came over and took a bunch of pictures of our hero. in fact, he went and found and retrieved her camera, waiting patiently for her to take it out and take pictures of him. our little ham knew *exactly* what he was doing:

and he and daddy played tickle monster, a family favorite!

jack also played hide-and-go seek, but with a knowing look that sort of said, "i know you people seem to get such a kick out of this game, so i'm going to play along for your benefit."

and we practiced riding our trike a little more, but we still can't quite reach the pedals ...

pretty soon it was time to change for the pool:

we left daddy behind to get our canopy "beach ready" and he met us later on to cool off after his toils:

sunday brought another trip to the pool, the playground and a romp in the hose ... none of which were caught on camera ... and we're counting down the days until our trip to hotlanta to commune with the famdamily mershon!

reports are he ate four chicken nuggets, enjoyed himself immensely, and entertained the lunchtime crowd at the golden arches.

sorry mommy hasn't posted today. just wasn't feeling inspired...

but, in case you were wondering, jack's had a good day

• he woke up early, as is his wont
  
• he walked the 'hood with mommy
  
• he came home to find leslie had come to play today
  
• he went to the park
  
• he went to the pool
  
• when mommy called home he was laughing uncontrollably in the background

uncontrollable laughter always seems like a good day, if you ask me.
