steppin' out with my baby

jack is becoming quite adept at climbing. yesterday he climbed up the slide at the playground on his knees, only to reach the top and slide back down over and over and over!

he also is good at climbing steps. yesterday he used the banister and mommy's pants to climb up the step from the living room onto the landing at the bottom of the stairs while upright on two feet. wow!

but it's getting down that can be tricky. here jack is trying to step down, but usually he sits on the landing and cries for help. we're trying to show him how to turn around and slide off feet first while on his belly, but so far that hasn't stuck.

however, on the bright side, at least he's no longer throwing himself headfirst off the step ... smal victories ...

  1. All of a sudden, I realized that the blog main picture looks just like today's picture. Jack's Mommy, how do you keep up with all of this stuff? FYI, just because he stopped throwing himself down inclines headfirst does not mean that tendency is gone forever... Just wait till he's at Dartmouth, and goes to the golf course during the first big snow... or a certain fraternity ice slide?

  2. There are many things that I am proud of in my life, but the coinage of "Dr. Waspington" has got to be near the top ...

  3. Yes, that was sheer brilliance. Even Mr. Waspington likes it, and did the screen name change for me on blogger (those young'uns are much better at this stuff than us, or at least me).... Kudos to you Miggity Mike (not to be confused with Jiggity Joe Lici :) ) and really only coined just now because I don't know how to spell Michaley in a way that doesn't look ridiculous.... Wait, this is Jack's blog, so..... Go Jack Go! Chase that pesky Sgt Floyd and show him who's boss!!!
