we started with a saturday morning halloween party. jack's made-by-mom costume was not quite ready ... but mommy realized that she might not be able to pull off the homemade costume thing and had bought a back up slightly used "woody from toy story" cowboy costume off another mom for $5. combined with some of jack's own pieces, he made for one cute cowpoke!
and it was fun to see the other kids from the playground for our third annual halloween party (more on this later in the week).
even daddy had fun at the party ... when he wasn't busy robbing trains ...
but saturday turned out to be a rainy day, so we spent the afternoon cooped up inside, much to jack's dismay.
sunday dawned brighter, both in weather and mood ... but it also dawned early. so mommy and jack, hoping to give daddy a little more sleep, headed out for breakfast ... at ....
hot donalds!
or, as it's known to most of america besides jack, mcdonald's!
jack enjoyed sharing a deluxe breakfast with mommy. and really enjoyed dipping his syrup-drizzled pancakes in ketchup. who knew?
after some park time with daddy and a long nap, we headed out in the late afternoon to get some pumpkins from a local farm.
jack declared his "favorite" a lopsided, bumpy, gnarly pumpkin. sort of the charlie brown christmas tree of pumpkins. how could we refuse him?
jack hated to leave, but at least he went in style ...
and that, dear readers, is how we rolled this weekend ...
